Modkaft was a site that existed from 2000 - 2017. I had the pleasure of being a journalist there for around 5 years in total.
Both as a volunteer without any experience with writing and later as a staffed editor. 

The site was dedicated to independent reporting on the progressive social movements of the time. 
I was writing as a journalist covering topics such as migration, resistance against borders, struggles for worker’s rights, and social movements in Europe. I also edited the opinion pieces.

I learned a lot about interviewing marginalized groups in society and reporting in the heat of the moment in the streets - with very sparse resources.
